• The brief was to provide an upper level addition to an existing building and at the same time provide a contemporary makeover.

• Given that almost half the building is already two storey - the challenge was to design an addition which doesn't look like an addition.

• The brief for this project was originally to provide an upper level addition over a particularly disfuntional lower level.

• In the design we were able to find a solution to poor existing design while creating additional space on a single level and without the need for an upper level additon.

The result is a simple design with
northern beaches styling.

Design notes:

The brief for this bathroom was to create something special in a fairly dark location.

We call this design the fern garden bathroom because we have used a large window looking onto a fern garden as the focus of the room.

The other concepts include the hidden shower, spa with surround bench, integrated storage, and an off the floor policy to make cleaning even easier.
